<div itemprop="description">Charles Patrick 'Pat' Wilson <br />(1917-2014) <br />WW II RCAF Flying Officer - Bomber Command 408 Goose Squadron <br /> <br />Charles Patrick 'Pat' Wilson passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital on Wednesday, September 17th in his 97th year. <br />Predeceased by his loving wife Doris Jean (May), son Michael, brothers Joseph, William, Rev. James CSB, Rev. Clarence CSP, Thomas and sisters Madeline (Sr. Pauline IBVM), Gertrude and Margaret. Father of Bernadette (Bunny) Aziz (Jim). Dear Grandfather to Christine, Greg and Laura Aziz and Larissa and Stephanie Wilson. Survived by his younger brother Dr. John and his wife Patricia, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. <br />Pat graduated from St. Michael's College School where he excelled in athletics. He pursued a professional hockey career that was interrupted by WW II when he enlisted in the RCAF in 1942 and completed over 30 sorties. His hockey career included time as a player and coach of a number of Canadian and U.S. IHL and AHL teams including time as the player coach of the 1952 Allan Cup finalists, Stratford Indians. He later pursued a career in the insurance industry. An avid golfer he played well into his '90s. <br />Visitation at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West, Toronto on Monday, September 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:30 at Nativity of our Lord Church, 480 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke. <br />Donations in Pat's name can be made to the Parkinson Society Canada, or the charity of your choice. <br />Rest In Peace Grandpa.</div>
