<div itemprop="description">Peacefully on Saturday, July 19th in her 85th year after a lengthy illness at the Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga. <br /> <br />Thank you to all the staff at Bough Beeches Place Retirement Residence, Mississauga, Ontario for your wonderful care of Laura over the past year! <br /> <br />Laura will be remembered for her warmthand kindness and the way she lovingly drew those dear to her around the dinner table for an Italian meal (which, in her prime, was always from &ldquo;scratch&rdquo;). <br /> <br />Dearly loved wife of Urbano (d. 2005) for 55 years. Loving mother of Mary Mignardi (Quintilian) and Paul Quintilian. Proud grandmother of Michael, Laurie, Marcus and Dominic. Gracious mother-in-law to Tom Mignardi and Clare Parfitt. Laura was born August 23, 1929 in Point Edward, Ontario. She was the eldest daughter of Rosina Fava (Furno) and Ulderico Fava. Laura is survived by her sister, Mary Culver (Fava), and brother, Patrick Fava. Laura was <br />predeceased by her brother, Carl Fava, and sisters, Lorraine and Melina. <br /> <br />Laura spent 30 years as a hair stylist at a Scarbrough Seniors residence on Glen Everest Road where she was valued for her cheerfulness and empathy. She remained good friends with many of her clients over the years and into her own retirement. <br /> <br />Visitation at the Lynett Funeral Home (lynettfuneralhome.ca), 3299 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario (1 block east of Runnymede Road) 416-767-1176 <br />on Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Lynett Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Mount Hope cemetary. Donations can be made to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - Geriatric Clinic (sunnybrook.ca/foundation).</div>
