<div itemprop="description">DUNCAN, Lisa Anne <br /> <br />The family of Lisa Anne Duncan is saddened to announce her sudden passing in Toronto, Ontario, on February 15, 2015. <br /> <br />Lisa was born in Calgary, Alberta, but spent most of her childhood in and around Eston, Saskatchewan, where her family farmed. <br /> <br />During her life, Lisa passionately pursued her love for history, writing, and academic research. Lisa received her B.A. from the University of Regina in 1991 and her M.A. from York University in 1995. As a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto, she spent time studying in Rome, Italy, including one semester at the British School in Rome. <br /> <br />Lisa lived in Toronto, Ontario, for the last twenty years, where she worked as a writer, copy editor, and most recently, a legislative editor for the Ministry of The Attorney General of Ontario. Since 2010, Lisa&rsquo;s main focus was raising and caring for her daughter, Sophia. <br /> <br />Lisa is survived by her grandmother, Marjorie Wilkinson of Saskatoon, parents; William and Jeanette Duncan of Regina, daughter; Sophia Duncan of Toronto, and brother; Corey (Kelli) Duncan of Regina, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. <br /> <br />A celebration of Lisa&rsquo;s life will be held March 14, 2015 at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina. Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens. Any donations received will be placed in trust for Sophia Duncan. <br /></div>
